Job Description: Our Client is looking for a full-time Managing Project Geologist for their branch in Northern California. A Geologist who is highly motivated and who takes personal responsibility to ensure shared success. The Project Geologist will plan and execute subsurface investigation projects, due diligence projects, and other environmental investigations for existing clients.

Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology or environmental science.   Between 4 and 7 years of experience in the environmental consulting field. • Knowledge and background of environmental laws and regulations including those in California. • Knowledge of the guidelines for investigations and remediation from the DTSC, RWQCB, and EPA. • Experience with the regulatory and permitting agencies in Northern California. • Experience in conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM guidelines and industry standards. • Experience with UST investigations and remediation including investigation of hydrocarbonimpacted sites. • Experience with environmental investigations involving solvents, pesticides, and metals. • Ability to coordinate subcontractors including utility locators and drilling companies to execute work. • Experience sampling soil and groundwater via drilling including direct-push, hollow-stem auger, and other similar drilling methods. • Experience with evaluation of vapor intrusion and sampling soil gas per DTSC and EPA guidelines. • Experience installing groundwater monitoring wells, remediation wells, and soil gas wells. • Experience writing groundwater monitoring reports and well installation reports. • Excellent writing and communication skills including technical writing. Attention to detail is a must. • Project Management experience including tracking hours and expenses for project work. • Ability to work in a team is a must. • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time. • Environmental certifications including HAZWOPER and safety certifications. • Valid driver’s license as field work and site travel is involved. • Abide by health and safety policies and procedures.
