WHOLESALE CONTRACTORS’ ELECTRICAL SUPPLIES COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL
Responsible for responding to customer inquiries, closing profitable sales orders, and processing orders received. Responsibility includes reviewing orders received to ensure customer needs are met, following through on commitments of delivery of product or information required, and proper communication of information to customers and employees who are fulfilling the order.
MANAGE A MULTI MILLION DOLLAR BRANCH Inside, Outside and Counter Sales
Primary Duties:
*MANAGE 5 to 10 PEOPLE AND Help customers determine the right Electrical Products WIRE, PIPE AND SWITCHGEAR , LED LIGHTING and services to meet THE CONTRACTORS needs.
*Sell products and services, offer add-on and up-sell products that may benefit the customer, and suggest alternative products when a customer requested product is not available.
*Execute sales effort in an ethical and professional manner that will reflect favorably on the reputation of both the salesperson and the company.
*Close orders and sell at profitable levels.
*Reach sales and gross margin goals.
*Create and maintain solid, long-term relationships with customers.
*Assist and resolve customer requests and/or problems in a prompt and professional manner.
*Work with Purchasing Department, account managers, quotations specialists, product champions, and other branch personnel to provide competitive quotations.
*Attend sales, product, and other branch/company meetings.
Expedite customer orders through the Purchasing Department.
Maintain a current library of reference material.
*Interact with branch personnel to exchange customer needs information.
*Back up and support counter sales representatives and warehouse personnel, as necessary.
*Issue Return Goods Requests (RGR) to customers to expedite product returns.
Maintain knowledge of products and their applications. Know major competitor product lines.
- Document lost sales and customer comments in order system.
- Perform initiative-taking tele sales to customers assigned by branch or district manager.
- Stay abreast of current and new products and the location of the inventory within the facility.
- Check merchandise in against receiving ticket.
Maintain vehicle properly and furnish vehicle operation report.
Report and record damage to vehicles, product, and/or equipment.
Pick and properly pack counter, will call, branch transfers, and truck shipments.
Load and unload trucks and trailers by hand or by use of a hand truck, forklift, or dolly.
Pad, stack, and secure items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipments. *Prepare bills of lading for shipment.
Drive company trucks making prompt on-schedule deliveries and pickups while notifying management of any delays in the delivery schedule.
Responsible for assisting and assembling product for receiving, storing, shipping, and control of materials in inventory or being sold.
Prepare return tickets or warranty materials and record damage of faulty material.
- Assist at the counter with customers when necessary.

*Maintain the warehouse so it is clean, organized, and safe for all employees.
Strong English communication skills and the ability to understand the customers' needs.

REQUIREMENTS / MANAGER MUST HAVE:
Inside, and outside Sales and Warehouse experience plus a college Degree preferred, GED and or previous experience.
*Good people skills. "The customer is always right" attitude.
*Individuals with ELECTRICAL PARTS AND LIGHTING DISTRIBUTION BACKGROUNDS AND experience will be the best candidates for this position.
*Strong English communication skills and the ability to understand the customers' needs.
Spanish as a second language is a PLUS.
