Asbestos Consultant "CAC" and Asbestos Site Surveillance Technician "CSST"

Our Client has been one of the nation’s fastest growing multidisciplinary environmental consulting and engineering firms. The Location in Los Angeles, CA. has 2 open positions. Asbestos Consultant and Site Surveillance Technician "CSST" and a ASBESTOS PROJECT MANAGER "CAC" Description: Located in Los Angeles, California. Currently seeking a Project Manager/Industrial Hygienist. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid technical background and an excellent reputation of maintaining client relationships. The position will be responsible for management of asbestos/lead projects, primarily for school district clients; supervision and mentoring of field staff; preparation and review of technical proposals, cost estimates and reports; and business development. PROJECT MANAGER APPLICANT MUST HAVE CAL/OSHA "CAC" certification. Primary Responsibilities:  Manage project’s scope, schedule, budget, staff, and subcontractors for existing public and private sector clients.  Provide quality assurance/quality control during the preparation of technical proposals and reports.  Supervise field work and mentor junior staff.  Maintain Client relationship management and Prospect for new client’s cross-sell and assist with expanding the client base.  Act as liaison and advocate for clients with environmental regulatory agencies and  Implement health and safety policies and procedures. Qualified candidates will possess the following:  B.S. degree in industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, public health or related field.  California Certified Asbestos Consultant "CAC"  California Department of Public Health (CA DPH) Certified Lead Inspector/Assessor and/or Project Monitor  NIOSH 582 Certification  Proficiency with Microsoft Office®.  Excellent leadership and client management skills.  Effective technical writing, strong oral communication, presentation and time management skills.  Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organization and project objectives.  Technically adept, flexible, and forward thinking.  Exhibits ability to successfully track and meet budgets and schedules.  Exhibits attention to detail, and able to work under periodic time constraints.  Demonstrated knowledge and background in the implementation of OSHA, ACGIH, ANSI and other technical safety and health standards.  Willingness to travel regionally for short periods of time.  Certified Industrial Hygiene (CIH), a plus. Experience  At least 10+ years of industrial hygiene (specifically asbestos/lead) experience with 5+ years of direct responsibility managing projects, supervising field staff, providing QA/QC of deliverables, and assisting with business development.  Possesses specific experience in a similar role within an environmental, health and safety consulting firm identifying and implementing innovative, cost effective solutions that meet or exceed clients’ expectations. Experience with school district clients is also desired. FIELD TECH Description: Located in Los Angeles California The ideal candidate will have the ability to perform asbestos, lead-based paint and other hazardous material surveys, abatement project monitoring, microbial and indoor air quality investigations, industrial hygiene surveys and soil/groundwater sampling/monitoring for assessment/remediation projects. The position will report to the Building Sciences Senior Project Manager.

FIELD TECH APPLICANT MUST HAVE CAL/OSHA "CSST" certification. Primary Responsibilities: • Conduct asbestos, lead-based paint and other hazardous material surveys, • Provide asbestos and lead-based paint abatement monitoring, • Conduct mold and indoor air quality investigations and oversee remediation projects, • Conduct industrial hygiene surveys, e.g. exposure assessments, noise surveys, • Perform soil/groundwater sampling/monitoring for subsurface assessment/remediation projects, • Collect detailed field notes and photographs to assist project managers with completing reports, • Prepare chain of custody’s for analytical testing, recording survey data in approved forms, • Implement health and safety policies and procedures, • Travel locally and regionally to project sites using company vehicles, and • Work off-hours and weekends periodically when required. Qualified candidates will possess the following: • High School Diploma with 3+ years of experience, or • A.S. or B.S degree in industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, public health or related field with 1+ years of experience,AHERA asbestos certifications, a plus • LBP inspector/monitor certifications, a plus • NIOSH 582 course completion, a plus • Proficiency with Microsoft Office®. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organization and project objectives. • Technically adept, flexible, and forward thinking. • Exhibits attention to detail, and able to work under periodic time constraints. • Willingness to travel regionally for short periods of time. Experience: 1+ years of specific experience in at least one of the following disciplines: asbestos and lead-based paint surveys and project monitoring, microbial and IAQ investigations, industrial hygiene surveys, soil/groundwater sampling/monitoring or related field.
